The postgraduate research road map is interpreted as a policy direction document or work plan that integrates all research plans and implementations carried out by lecturers and students of master’s and doctoral programs within 5 (five) years. This document can be used as a reference by all study programs in the Postgraduate environment to prepare a study program research roadmap or in carrying out research by lecturers and students in the study program environment. The Postgraduate Roadmap is prepared concerning the Postgraduate vision, mission, objectives, strategic business plan, and Undiksha research roadmap and pays attention to levels 8 and 9 of the IQF. Thus, the research themes developed in the Doctoral Program in Educational Sciences in general in 2021-2025 are divided into 2 (two), namely in education and non-education.

Research themes in the field of education such as Values ??and Character Education, Culture and Religion-Based Education, Digital Technology-Based Education, Life Skills Education, Parenting Patterns in the Family, Conflict and Social Harmony, Curriculum, learning, and assessment, Teacher competency models and their assessments, and sustainable development. At the same time, the research themes are in non-educational fields such as Environment, Information Technology, Language Relations, Arts and Culture, Science and Technology to Support Tourism, Sports and Health, Economics, Management, and Accounting.

The development of the research direction of the Doctoral Science Study Program following the direction of Undiksha Postgraduate research for the 2021-2025 period is divided into four stages, namely the 2021-2022 period called the strengthening stage, which is oriented toward strengthening the research management system, strengthening inter, multi, or inter-disciplinary research to improve the quality of education. And learning, the 2022-2023 period is called product strengthening and downstream, the 2023-2024 period is the stage of strengthening the market potential of research products, and the 2024-2025 period is the consolidation stage, as shown in the following table.

In terms of the Student Creativity Program, the Doctoral Program in Education Sciences also adjusts to the themes of the Undiksha Postgraduate Student Creativity Program for 2021 – 2025, which launches several superior fields in community service programs that can formulate into several themes, such as Application of Science and Technology, Regional Development and Environmental Impact, Entrepreneurship Development, School Education Development, Non-Formal Education Development, Tourism, and Creative Economy Development, Assisted Village Development, Maritime Development, Community Health Development.

Community Service Activities carried out in the past year include learning assistance activities during the Covid-19 pandemic for children in orphanages in Sangsit village (Sawan district, Buleleng) and Kerobokan village (Sawan district, Buleleng).
