One way to increase knowledge about the subjects being studied by students is to conduct public/guest lectures by inviting public/guest lecture speakers from professionals who are considered to have expertise in their fields, both from academics and practitioners who are considered to have experience. The knowledge in the Philosophy of Accounting Science course is no exception.
Based on this, to increase knowledge in the Philosophy of Accounting course, the Master Programme in Accounting, Postgraduate Programme, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Brawijaya held a guest lecture on Friday, November 13, 2020. This guest lecture activity would provide additional knowledge related to Accounting in Perspective Weton as Traditional Knowledge towards society and students in general and students of the Master Programme in Accounting in particular. With the guest lecture activity, students of the Master Programme in Accounting would be provided with additional knowledge about the Philosophy of Accounting course, especially related to Accounting in Weton’s Perspective as Traditional Knowledge.
The guest lecture activity was carried out online through the zoom application which is taught by Guest Lecturer Dr. Lilik Purwanti, M.Sc., CA., CSRS., Ak. Guest lecture activities are carried out by presenting the material, then followed by discussion.
The parties involved in the guest lecture activities in the Philosophy of Accounting course with the theme “Accounting in Weton’s Perspective as Traditional Knowledge” were the Master Programme in Accounting, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha as the organizer of the activity and Lecturer of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Brawijaya as presenters who provide staff assistance educator. The guest lecture activity in the Philosophy of Accounting course with the theme “Accounting in Weton’s Perspective as Traditional Knowledge” was attended by the general public, undergraduate to postgraduate students from inside and outside Undiksha, including first semester students of the Master Programme in Accounting, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. Visiting Lecturer from the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Brawijaya who filled the course, it was Mrs. Dr. Lilik Purwanti, M.Sc., CA., CSRS., Ak.
Participants gained additional knowledge and insight related to Philosophy of Accounting related courses in Weton Perspective as Traditional Knowledge which was delivered by a guest lecturer from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Brawijaya, namely Dr. Lilik Purwanti, M.Sc., CA., CSRS., Ak.
