The Master Programme in Accounting is a new study programme at the Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha Postgraduate, which was opened in 2020. Based on the vision, “To become a leading study programme in accounting based on the Tri Hita Karana Philosophy (Three Causes to Prosperity) in Asia in 2045″, the Master Programme in Accounting always works, innovate, and carries out positive activities to realize the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which always preserves the local wisdom culture of Tri Hita Karana.
The vision of the Master Programme in Accounting is described with the missions and objectives that have been prepared as steps to realize the vision. The missions of the Master Programme in Accounting are:
- Organizing master’s education in accounting science to produce graduates in the field of accounting who are intelligent, with integrity, highly competitive, innovative, creative, ethical, and research-oriented in line with the development and practice of accounting science so that they can face changes in the global environment.
- Organizing and producing accounting research that is recognized nationally and internationally with a multi-perspective approach for developing professional abilities in the field of accounting.
- Build networks with educational institutions, professional associations, and other stakeholders both domestically and abroad, in the context of organizing and developing master’s education in accounting and creating benefits for institutions and society.
Based on this vision and mission to be able to encourage students of the Master of Accounting Study Programme to achieve achievements, one of which is a student named Putu Firda Febriyanti Suartha, who successfully participated in the publication of the Proceeding Scopus 6th North American Industrial Engineering and Operations Management Conference Monterrey, Mexico 2021 which was delivered at the JEBAC World Conference activity with the Faculty of Economics and Business, the University of Jambi as the organizer on 12-13 November 2021. This achievement was achieved because she received intensive guidance from lecturers in the Master of Accounting Programme.
This achievement is expected to impact students and the Master of Accounting Programme. For students, this achievement is expected to provide additional experience in attending conferences and increasing documentation of achievement. For the Master of Accounting Programme, it can increase the number of student achievements during education as a form of seriousness in carrying out the vision and mission of the Master of Accounting Programme at Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha.
