The Master of Accounting Program is a new study program at the Ganesha University Postgraduate Program that will be opened in 2020. Based on the vision, “Becoming an Excellent Study Program in Accounting Based on the Tri Hita Karana Philosophy in Asia in 2045,” the Master of Accounting Program is always working, innovating, and carrying out positive activities to realize the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, which always preserves the local wisdom culture of Tri Hita Karana.
The vision of the Master of Accounting Program is described with the mission and objectives that have been prepared as steps to realize the vision. The mission of the Master of Accounting Program is:
- Organizing master’s education in accounting to produce graduates in accounting who are intelligent, with integrity, highly competitive, innovative, creative, ethical, and research-oriented in line with the development and practice of accounting science so that they are able to face changes in the global environment.
- Using a multi-perspective approach, organize and produce accounting research that is known both nationally and internationally. This helps professionals in the field of accounting improve their skills.
- Build relationships with educational institutions, professional groups, and other important people at home and abroad in order to organize and improve master’s education in accounting and to help institutions and society.
Based on this vision and mission, so as to be able to encourage students of the Master of Accounting Study Program to achieve achievements, one of which is a student named Komang Tri Yasrawan, who succeeded in becoming a presenter at the 8th National Indonesian Multiparadigm Accounting Society Meeting (TEMAN 8) on Wednesday and Thursday, October 13–14, 2021, which will be held at UMI Makassar online via the Zoom application. The lecturers in the Master of Accounting Program worked closely with these students to help them reach this goal.
This achievement is expected to have an impact on students and the Master of Accounting Program. For students, this achievement is expected to provide additional experience in attending conferences and increasing documentation of achievement. For the Master of Accounting Program at Ganesha Education University, it can increase the number of student accomplishments while they are in school. This shows that the Master of Accounting Program takes its vision and mission seriously.
