Singaraja – The Education Research and Evaluation Study Program (PEP) at the postgraduate Program of Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) successfully hosted a workshop titled “Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) for Analyzing Variable Measures in the Educational Field” on October 23, 2024. Conducted in a hybrid format, the workshop offered both online and offline participation to ensure broader accessibility.
The workshop was officially opened by the Vice Director II of the Postgraduate Program, Prof. Dr. Ketut Suma, M.S., who highlighted the significance of enhancing students’ analytical skills, especially for final project completion. He emphasized that this workshop aimed to equip students with research-relevant knowledge to tackle challenges in the field of education.
The event saw active participation from study program coordinators, lecturers, postgraduate students (both S2 and S3 levels), and alumni of the PEP Study Program. A major highlight was the presence of the keynote speaker, Prof. Dr. I Made Candiasa, M.I.Kom., an expert in evaluation. Prof. Candiasa delivered an insightful session on the application of SEM in educational data analysis, a critical topic in today’s data-driven education landscape.
Participants engaged in interactive sessions and in-depth discussions, gaining both theoretical insights and practical skills in using SEM for research purposes. The workshop provided a hands-on approach, enabling attendees to apply SEM in addressing complex research challenges in the education field. In addition to fostering academic competency, the workshop served as a networking platform for students, lecturers, and alumni, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
