Mobile Computing Research Group (MCRG), through its research products, also supports the Undiksha Community Service (PkM) program at SMKN 2 Tejakula, Sembiran Village, the village of the Governor of Bali, Dr. I Wayan Koster. As a manifestation of Undiksha’s vision and mission based on Tri Hita Karana (THK), the implementation of PkM is related to the use of the Balinese script mobile learning application (ToAksara and ToLatin). This activity also supports the Governor’s program to preserve the local heritage of the Balinese Language/Script. Activities include offline training with the participation of Undiksha students, as well as students and teachers of SMKN 2 Tejakula.
A big thank you goes to the Principal of SMKN 2 Tejakula, Ketut Muliana, S.Pd., M.Pd., all elements of the school, and the Head of the Balinese Language MGMP Vocational School, Buleleng Regency, Mr. I Nyoman Juni Sugiarta, S.Pd. Gr., who has made it possible for this activity to run smoothly.
This activity is an effort to preserve local Balinese culture based on technology, especially related to Balinese language/literature, and is one of Undiksha’s contributions to Bali. It is hoped that in the future, activities like this can be sustainable and further strengthen the existence of local Balinese culture.
