Singaraja – Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) Postgraduate Program held a doctoral promotion exam on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. The exam was carried out by Promovendus, I Komang Budiarta from the Language Education Study Program with a Concentration in English Language Education.

In the offline exam, Komang Budiarta presented a dissertation entitled “Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in Online Micro-Teaching at English Teacher Education: A Program Description and An Analysis of the Effect of Implementation”. The research results show that good CLIL implementation must consider aspects in planning, implementation, and assessment. In addition, the application of CLIL affects the ability to master material and language because the approach uses activities that can strengthen understanding of the material and language skills. Students also give positive perceptions of the application of CLIL in Micro-teaching learning. Students can deepen their understanding of the material and practice using language.

With the success of Promovendus in defending his dissertation before the board of examiners, Promovendus, who was born in Lembongan, became the 62nd doctorate born from the Undiksha Postgraduate Program.
