Taxes are dynamic and follow the development of economic and social life so that they demand improvements both systemically and operationally. The improvement of the taxation system in the form of improving the taxation policy and administration system is expected to optimize the available tax potential by upholding the principles of social justice. Tax education must be able to quickly follow these dynamic developments ranging from policy changes to the administrative system.
Based on this, to increase knowledge in taxation subjects, the Master Programme in Accounting, Postgraduate Programme, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha in collaboration with the Directorate General of Taxes held a guest lecture on the taxation subject “Taxation Education” in the Odd Semester for the 2021/2022 Academic Year, on Sunday, October 17, 2021. Students will be equipped with additional knowledge about the material presented by the resource persons, namely related to Tax Incentives in the Framework of National Economic Recovery with guest lecture.
This guest lecture activity was carried out online through the zoom application which was taught by Ms. Dian Anggraeni, S.E., M.Sc. The guest lecture activity was carried out with material presentation, then continued with discussion. In the guest lecture, the Directorate General of Taxes also sent a link to a questionnaire for pre-test and post-test in order to determine the level of understanding of participants regarding the material presented.
The parties involved in the guest lecture activity for the taxation subject “Taxation Education” were the Master Programme in Accounting, Postgraduate Programme, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha as the organizer of the activity and the Directorate General of Taxes as a supervisor who provided assistance for educators. The guest lecture activity for the taxation course “Taxation Education” was attended by all first and third semester students of the Master Programme in Accounting, Postgraduate Programme, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha and the guest lecturer from the Directorate General of Taxes who filled the course was Dian Anggraeni, S.E., M.Sc.
Students of the Master Programme in Accounting as participants had additional knowledge and insight related to taxation courses delivered by guest lecturers from the Directorate General of Taxes, namely Mrs. Dian Anggraeni, S.E., M.Sc., so that students know the latest developments in taxation, especially related to Tax Incentives in the Framework National Economic Recovery.
