Various efforts in order to provide additional knowledge insights to support the teaching and learning process in the Master Programme in Accounting, Postgraduate Programme, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha are continuously being carried out. Among them is through guest lectures that present industrial lecturers from the business world and the industrial world who are directly related to scientific practice in the field. Guest lectures are an alternative in increasing the scientific knowledge of human resources, both lecturers and students. In addition to the things already mentioned, the purpose of the guest lecture is also to sharpen students’ critical thinking skills towards a theory.
The Master Programme in Accounting conducted guest lectures on several subjects, one of which was Strategic Management. To increase knowledge in Strategic Management courses, the Master Programme in Accounting, Postgraduate Programme, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha in collaboration with PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel) held a guest lecture in the odd semester of 2021/2022 academic year, namely on Saturday, October 30, 2021. With education and training by lecturers in this industry, students would be provided with additional knowledge regarding the implementation of strategic management in the world of work.
This guest lecture activity was carried out online through the zoom application which was taught by Dr. Leonardus Wahyu Wasono Mihardjo, ST., M.Eng, CMA, ACMA, CGMA. The guest lecture activity was carried out with material presentation, then continued with discussion, and ended with closing.
The parties involved in the guest lecture activities with industry lecturers in strategic management courses were the Master Programme in Accounting, Postgraduate Programme, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha as the organizer of the activity and PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel) as the supervisor who provided assistance for educators. The guest lecture activity with industry lecturers in the strategic management course was attended by 59 first and third semester students of the Master Programme in Accounting, Postgraduate Programme, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha and industrial lecturer from PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel). Students of the Master Programme in Accounting as participants had additional knowledge and insight related to the application of strategic management courses delivered by industry lecturers from PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel), namely Dr. Leonardus Wahyu Wasono Mihardjo, ST., M.Eng, CMA, ACMA, CGMA, so that students know the real implementation of strategic management in the world of work.
