The Master of Management Study Program carries out community service activities in Lokapaksa Village in the form of tree planting. This activity was carried out in Buleleng Regency because Buleleng became one of the areas with the longest drought in Bali, which was 206 days. The water crisis is affecting farmers in Bali. Some Subak, agricultural irrigation systems used in Bali can no longer be run because of dry water sources. Not only that, the drought that hit Bali also made residents forced to buy water at a high price for daily needs and for agriculture. Dry and barren land in addition to being difficult to be processed into agricultural land and plantations is also prone to fire hazards and becomes a factor in causing poverty in the Buleleng regency. This program is a program to save the availability of water in Bali through the planting of Moringa trees and Kelapa Genjah in Lokapaksa Village. This proposal was motivated by the desire for the empowerment of Pokdarwis Lokapaksa Village during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This activity is an effort to empower Pokdarwis Lokapaksa who is lonely because of the absence of tourists during the COVID-19 pandemic. In line with Rahim’s idea (2012) that increasing the role of society in tourism development requires various empowerment efforts so that the community can play a more active role. and optimal and at the same time receive positive benefits from development activities carried out to improve the welfare of the local community.
Moringa and Kelapa Genjah plants were chosen because this commodity is a tourism supporting product that is very interested in tourists. Moringa and Kelapa Genjah have an ecological function to hold groundwater and prevent flooding. In addition, Moringa and Kelapa Genjah also have high-value economic functions. Therefore, this combination is very suitable to later be able to help improve the welfare of the community, especially Pokdarwis Lokapaksa Village.
