The activity “Socializing the Importance of Communication in Shaping Socio-Emotional Environments in the Management of Tourism Villages for Youth in Bayunggde Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency” is one form of UNDIKSHA’s tridharma of higher education, namely community service, which this time was held in Bayung Gde village, Kintamani district, Bangli Regency on March 8, 2021. The organizer of this activity is a lecturer in the Master of Education Administration Study Program, namely Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Natajaya, M.Pd and Dr. I Gusti Ketut Arya Sunu, M.Pd and 3rd semester Education Administration students, namely Nurul April Yani, Luh Hendra Kusuma Dewi, and Nur Kholifatur RMS.
Based on the results of initial observations in the field, the PKM team saw that Bayunggde Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency, had potential as a tourist village. Therefore, we decided to conduct socialization on March 8, 2021 after getting permission.
As a teenager who grew up in a tourist village, communicating well is very necessary in shaping the socio-emotional environment. In communicating, teenagers need to pay attention to communication ethics such as intonation in speaking and apologizing when they make mistakes.
There are elements that need to be known in communication, including communicators, news delivery, responses and reactions, and communication. Methods of communicating are divided into 2: 1) verbal communication, which is the series of using words to share information with others, and 2) non-verbal communication, which is one of the communication processes in which messages are not conveyed using words. For example, only by using gestures, body language, facial expressions, eye contact, the use of objects such as clothes, haircuts, and so on, symbols and ways of speaking such as intonation, emphasis, voice quality, emotional style, and speaking style. If teenagers can communicate The importance of being able to communicate well is that the message is conveyed and not misinterpreted or ignored.
It is hoped that with this socialization, communication in shaping the socio-emotional environment can run well, especially for teenagers in managing tourism villages in Bayunggde Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency
