Singaraja – The Computer Science Study Master’s Program at the Postgraduate Program of Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) organized a Guest Lecture themed “The Opportunities and Challenges of International Collaboration for Strengthening the Tri Dharma of Higher Education” on Monday, November 25, 2024. Held in the Postgraduate Auditorium, the event was officially opened by the Director of the Postgraduate Program Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd.
The event featured Prof. Dr. Ir. Mauridhi Hery Purnomo, M.Eng., an academic from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya, as the keynote speaker. Prof. Hery shared his extensive knowledge on global research strategies and publication while emphasizing the critical role of international collaboration in supporting the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, education research, and community service.
The lecture was attended by both lecturers and students from the Master’s Program in Computer Science and the Undergraduate Program in Informatics Engineering, with participation available both online and offline. Participants showed great enthusiasm, particularly during Prof. Hery’s presentation on practical strategies for producing high-quality international research and publishing in reputable journals. He also inspired attendees with insights on how international collaboration not only facilitates joint research but also creates opportunities for impactful publications.
During the discussion session, participants actively posed questions about the challenges and prospects of international collaboration. One Master’s student expressed interest in initiating multidisciplinary research to connect with international partners.
Prof. Hery highlighted that international collaboration is very important for enhancing research quality and expanding academic networks, aligning with Undiksha’s vision to become an Excellent University in Asia by 2045. He also extended an invitation for sustained collaboration with Undiksha in various academic activities.
The event concluded with the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to Prof. Hery by the Postgraduate Program, followed by a group photo session with offline attendees. This guest lecture not only provided valuable knowledge, but also laid the groundwork for the Postgraduate Program at Undiksha to establish broader international partnerships and advance its global academic initiatives.
