Undiksha has established two research fields, namely education, and non-education. Undiksha’s Leading Research in education and non-education is formulated in stages, starting from clustering research topics conducted by lecturers and evaluating the outcomes. The clustering and evaluation of research outcomes are aimed at seeing the research’s strengths and making it a priority in planning and implementing research programs at Undiksha. Based on the formulation results, Undiksha for the 2021-2025 period has determined three leading research fields and their research themes as follows. A). The education sector, with research themes: Values and Character Education, Culture and Religion-Based Education, Information and Communication Technology-Based Education, Life Skills Education, Parenting Patterns in the Family, and Conflict and Social Harmony. B). Field of Science and Technology, with research themes: Food Diversity, Marine Biological Resources, New and Renewable Energy Sources, Advanced Materials, Environment, Information Technology. C). The field of tourism, with research themes: Relationship of Language, Arts and Culture, Science and Technology to Support Tourism, and Sports and Health, as well as Alternative Medicine.
