On Thursday, February 24, 2022, Singaraja-Ganesha University of Education Postgraduate held a doctoral promotion exam. The exam was conducted by promovenda, Ni Wayan Sariani, from the Language Education Study Program.
In the offline examination, Sariani presented a dissertation entitled “Text Usada Wariga Dalem: An Anthropological Linguistic Study.” The research aims to analyze the functions, meanings, values, and norms contained in the Usada Wariga Dalem text and to find a revitalization model for the Usada Wariga Dalem text. The dissertation can be defended before the examiner. This moment also succeeded in delivering him as the 32nd doctor who was “born” from the Undiksha Postgraduate Program. She also won honors for a 2.5-year study period.
After the exam, Sariani, who is a teacher at SMPN 1 North Kuta, Badung Regency, said that she was passionate about pursuing doctoral education because she considered science very important, especially education. He also expressed his pride in studying at Undiksha postgraduate. The service from lecturers and staff is considered very good. “Knowledge is important, especially education, especially studying at Undiksha. The lecturers are also steady and competent in their fields, “he said.
His success in completing his studies in under three years has become his target. To achieve this, at the beginning of the lecture, he had prepared research study materials. His efforts and enthusiasm earned him appreciation from his promoters and co-promoters. “There is something important when we compose a dissertation. So don’t just finish a new course to compose. So we’re late. As soon as we start college, we have to plan what we are going to study. Then we do research, “he said.
On that occasion, he also hoped that the results of his research could provide benefits for language development, especially in Balinese. He was also invited to jointly preserve the Balinese language, which is part of Balinese culture.
