Singaraja – The Master’s Program in Sport Education Study Program at the Postgraduate Program, Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha), organized a Sharing Session titled “The Sport Patriot Olympiad and World Champion.” The event, held at the Postgraduate Auditorium Undiksha on Monday, November 25, 2024, featured Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi, an internationally acclaimed rock-climbing athlete and a student of the Sport Education Study Program. This Sharing Session aimed to inspire, educate, and motivate students while providing valuable insight and success strategies for careers in the sport.
The session was attended by the Postgraduate Program leadership, the Coordinator and Secretary of the Sport Education Study Program, as well as students from both undergraduate (S1) and postgraduate (S2) levels. In his opening remarks, the Director of the Postgraduate Program, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., expressed his admiration for Desak Rita’s outstanding achievements and encouraged participants to delve into the strategies that lead to success as an International athlete.
During her talk, Desak Rita, who has proudly represented Indonesia in numerous global competitions, shared her personal journey of overcoming challenges, maintaining consistency, and handling the pressures of competing on the world stage. She inspired the audience with her message of perseverance, focus, and confidence, emphasizing the importance of unlocking and developing one’s potential in sports.
The students demonstrated their enthusiasm through active participation during the discussion session, asking insightful questions about balancing academic and non-academic pursuits. Many were eager to learn about Desak Rita’s strategies and tips for achieving excellence in both areas.
The session concluded with a presentation of a plaque and certificate of recognition to Desak Rita, awarded directly by Prof. Jampel, in acknowledgment of her achievements as an exceptional student-athlete. This Sharing Session is expected to inspire Undiksha students to strive for excellence and achieve outstanding accomplishments at both national and international levels, fostering a spirit of determination and success.
