Scientific Journals of International Reputation are journals that are managed openly by involving editorial boards from various countries, and the manuscript is assessed using an anonymous review system by international review partners (single blind or double blind), and the authors are experts who specialize in their fields from various countries and are written in the official language of the United Nations. Currently, there are many journals published in Indonesia, but those that meet the criteria for journals with international reputation are very limited and not known for certain. So that many quality writings are not published in Indonesia but abroad.
Based on this, in order to participate in efforts to increase the number of lecturer publications in reputable international journals and to support the acceleration program for the graduation of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha Postgraduate students (less than 2 years), the Master Programme in Accounting, Postgraduate Programme, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha in collaboration with the Accounting Department FEB Universitas Indonesia held national webinar entitled “Strategies and Tips for Writing Articles and Publications to Reach Out to Reputable International Journals Indexed by Scopus and WoS” in the Even Semester of the 2020/2021 Academic Year to be exact on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 10:00 WITA – finished through online.
This national webinar activity entitled “Strategies and Tips for Writing Articles and Publications to Reach Out to Reputable International Journals Indexed by Scopus and WoS”, was held online through the zoom application and YouTube live streaming by inviting 2 resource people who were extraordinary in providing material and sharing experiences.
This activity began with an opening speech by the Postgraduate Director of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. Then proceed with the presentation of the material by the first and second speakers. After the presentation of the material, it was followed by a discussion and question and answer session between the participants and the resource persons and ended with the presentation of conclusions by the moderator. Participants in this activity are free of charge and get facilities in the form of e-certificates, knowledge, and materials.
The parties involved in the national webinar activity entitled “Strategies and Tips for Writing Articles and Publications to Penetrate Reputable International Journals Indexed by Scopus and WoS” were:
- Master Programme in Accounting, Postgraduate Programme, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha in collaboration with the Accounting Department of FEB Universitas Indonesia as the organizer of the activity.
- Prof. Dr. I Gusti Putu Suharta, M.Si. as the Postgraduate Director of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha as the party that providing opening speech.
- I Made Pradana Adiputra, S.E, M.Si as a doctoral candidate for accounting science at FEB UI and an accounting lecturer at FE Undiksha, as a moderator.
- Two Resource People:
a. Dr. Sylvia Veronica N.P.S.S.E., Ak. as an accounting lecturer at FEB UI and 1st ranked in Scopus Citation at FEB UI, as resource person 1.
b. Desi Adhariani, PhD. as an accounting lecturer at FEB UI and 2nd ranked in Scopus publications at FEB UI as a resource 2. - Participants in this webinar consist of lecturers, students, and the general public with a total of 1,679 registrants.
Participants in this activity gained additional knowledge and insight related to tips on writing articles and publications so that they can penetrate reputable international journals indexed by Scopus and WoS which can increase the number of lecturer publications in reputable international journals and support the acceleration program for Graduate students of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (less than 2 years).
