Based on the results of initial observations in the field, the PKM team found several problems in teachers’ understanding of the making of CAR at SMAN 1 Sawan, including: (1) the teacher’s lack of interest in making CAR because teachers did not understand the making of CAR technically. (2) The interest of the teacher or teacher is only motivated to prepare for CAR when it is needed for promotion.
This program is a terminal program in order to increase knowledge and insight about the preparation or writing of CAR. The model for implementing this activity is carried out directly and also online, as is the case with a learning system carried out in schools or universities. For the purpose of achieving the objectives of this program, the designs deemed appropriate to be developed are “Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA) and Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA).” This program is designed as a form of response and anticipation of various problems related to writing.
One of the reasons students succeed in school is that it can be seen how they perform in class. If the teacher finds something that affects students and continues, the teacher must immediately find a solution to the problem. So, one way to find a solution to the problem is to do research in the classroom.
Classroom Action Research is practical research intended to improve classroom learning. This research is one of the efforts of teachers or practitioners in the form of various activities carried out to improve funds or improve the quality of learning in the classroom. CAR can be interpreted as a process of studying learning problems in the classroom through self-reflection in an effort to solve these problems by carrying out various planned actions in real situations and analyzing any effects of the treatment.
This activity was carried out at SMAN 1 Sawan to provide teachers with an understanding of correct technical CAR writing and its benefits for the advancement of the teaching and learning process in the classroom, which has an impact on increasing student learning outcomes.
