Singaraja – Ganesha III Room, Monday (27/6/2022) Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd. representing the Chancellor of Undiksha received a comparative study of the Social Sciences Education Masters Program at Simalungun University (USI), Pematangsiantar, North Sumatra. From Undiksha, there were the Director and Deputy Director of Postgraduate, Coordination and Secretariat of the Social Sciences Education Master’s Degree Study Program, Head of Bureau, Head and Secretary of Cooperation and Public Relations along with staff, and S2 Social Studies Education Master’s students. Meanwhile, from USI, the Chancellor, Director of the Postgraduate School, Head of the Social Studies Education Master’s Degree Study Program and Master’s Degree in Social Studies Education students attended. In this activity, an MoU was signed between the Vice Chancellor III of Undiksha and the Chancellor of USI, an MoA between the Directors and an SPK between the Study Program Coordinators from the two universities. Both parties are committed and agreed to cooperate in the field of Tri Dharma of Higher Education and the Independent Learning Program for the Independent Campus (MBKM).

After the signing of the cooperation script, it was followed by a joint public lecture. The Postgraduate Director of Undiksha gave the material “Strategies to Improve Undiksha Postgraduate Performance”, while the Director of the USI Postgraduate School brought the material “USI Graduate School Management Strategy”. The Social Studies Education Masters Program Coordinator (Prof. Dr. I Putu Sriartha, M.S.) was also a resource person in the activity by presenting the material entitled “Strengthening Social Studies Education Through Quality Improvement of Graduates of Master of Social Sciences Education”

In the discussion session, the Head of Study Program and Masters in Social Sciences education at USI stated that they were not wrong in choosing a collaboration partner with Undiksha and were very grateful for getting a lot of experience from the Undiksha Postgraduate Program, especially in terms of strategies for strengthening the Social Sciences Education Masters program which he managed and was only established in 2021.
